First Men's Class
By all reports, the first class of Every Man's Battle went over quite well. There seemed to be alot of participation, and good, honest discussions. It appears that this may be what we needed at the right time for us men here at Pine Tree. Pass the word to other men in the congregation. We are going to pass out the contracts for all those who want to continue in the class. If you do not want to sign the contract, then we will put it to a vote of the whole class whether or not that person should stay inthe class for this semister or not, being what the contract is and what it protects. We hope everyone who can come, shows up on Wednesday. Have a great week.

Every Man's Battle Class Books
If you are interested in attending the upcoming Men's Class starting in March, then you can pick up your book from the office in a little over a week, I believe. Ritchie is ordering them and they are going to be about 3 or 4 dollars cheaper if we buy them through a service that Ritchie knows. I believe he can get them for around $11.99. Right know we are going to order 20 copies, so get yours as quick as possible, as I can guess they should go fast.

Reminder About The Mud Bug Game this Friday the 6th!
Iron Men, remember this coming Friday we are going to a Mud Bugs Game in Bossier City! We are asking for everyone that wants to attend the game to either let us know on the comment section on this post, or tell Keith Cormier, Craig Rapp or Craig Chambliss as soon as possible. We would like to get a head count so we can let them know our total. Also, if anyone has their CDL and has been cleared through the congregation's insurance company, and wouldn't mind driving a large bus, let us know. We are planning on leaving @ 5:30 pm to get to the game on time. Please be here so we can travel together! The idea to eat at the arena was floated and basically we all seemed to agree. So bring enough money to cover those stadium costs. If you want to bring your sons, I don't think anyone would mind.
A Successful First Iron Men Breakfast!
How very fortunate are we to have such a wonderful group of men here at PTCC. We had a great showing this beautiful Saturday the 31st of January 2009. Those that were present (I believe, from memory) include: Stacey Hildebrand, Martin Gruver, Ricky Maxwell, James Mathis, James Stueart, J. Ritchie Hamm, Craig Rapp, Jerry Gore, Steve Hemphill, Seth Morris, Craig Chambliss, Doc Turk, Leroy Waggoner, Brandon (I Don't Know His Last Name, Sorry Brandon), Neal Venable, and Keith Cormier. If I left someone out, forgive me, I am getting old. Jerry Gore, Neal Venable, Keith Cormier, Craig Chambliss and Craig Rapp helped prepare the food, and I believe did a pretty good job. The food was great and the company even better! Please review the section on the right side of this blog that lists ideas for this ministry and check all that appeal to you. Thanks again for attending. Be on the look out for updated pictures from our first event.

We Want Your Ideas!
We want any guys who have ideas about events, programs, classes, seminars, or whatever, to let us know. Place them in the comment section at the bottom of this post (paragraph).
A New Ministry at Pine Tree
We welcome you to our new blog. We plan to use this media as a way of providing information about this ministry, updating you on upcoming events, and to provide a channel in which we can connect to each other regarding the needs of the men of Pine Tree Church of Christ. We are calling this new Men's Ministry, Iron Men. We read in Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." This is our starting point. We need each other, to bear each others burdens, to pass on vital information from older men to younger men, and from mature Christians to babes in Christ. So please come here often, respond to the posts in the comment sections, and be a part of this ministry. We can grow strong together, and sharpen each other. In Him
